3D CNC machining technology of PP foam sheet: Generally outdoor sport thing manufacturers cut PP foam plate by using copper or nickel wire to do straight line processing. If they need to do 3D machining, they must make curve cutting line processing by the way of electric discharge machining. The other way is to do a mold then finish it by plastic injection. The first method is too slow to fit the work hours. The second method is too costly to afford in the beginning of development.

Currently users cut PP foam sheet by three flute rougher ball end mills and it causes NG work piece, which surface peeled off and rough. According to cutting concept, straight ball end mills cannot make chip removal. And the geometry of rougher cannot smooth the surface well. BW proposes to use another way to process 3D machining. So far BW doesn’t supply this kind of brushing cutter.
